HB 2111 establishes the 15-member Mandatory Physical Education Task Force (Task Force).

 

Provisions

·          Establishes the 15-member Task Force and charges the Task Force with developing an implementation plan along with a draft proposal for legislation that will result in a uniform physical education program in grades K-8.

·          States the Task Force will be staffed by the Arizona Department of Education, Department of Health Services and appropriate legislative staff.

·          Requires the Task Force to submit a final report including the implementation plan and the draft proposal for legislation to the Legislature, Governor and the State Board of Education by December 15, 2005.

·          Contains a repeal date of December 31, 2005.
