ARIZONA STATE SENATE
Phoenix, Arizona
Navajo nation
special license plate
Requires the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to issue Navajo Nation special license plates if the Navajo Nation pays the implementation costs of the special plate.
According to the Navajo Nation Department of Highway Safety, the monies generated by the sale of the specialized license plate will help to enhance and improve roadway safety by providing the revenue to purchase and maintain traffic control devices that conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. H.B. 2238 specifies that the donation is to be used for traffic control devices for highways on the Navajo reservation.
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state general fund associated with this legislation.
