Extends the deadline for the State Board of Education to publish and distribute annual reports for every school, school district and the State as a whole from July 1 to September 1.
The State Board of Education is required to provide annual reports for every school and school district and the State as a whole. Reports are submitted to school districts, the Legislature, county school superintendents and the public. Currently, the State Board of Education must publish and distribute the reports by July 1 of each year, and also provide a cumulative summary of the reports every five years.
These annual reports are complied in a larger publication entitled The Arizona Department of Education State Report of the Arizona Student Achievement Program and include:
1. Average and range scores on the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) test.
2. Standardized test scores by subject area.
3. Achievement related nontest indicator data.
4. The numbers of pupils who have completed the academic standards at grades three, eight, and twelve.
S.B. 1331 extends the statutory deadline for the State Board of Education to publish and distribute annual reports from July 1 to September 1.
1. Extends the deadline by which the State Board of Education is required to publish and distribute annual reports for every school, school district and the State as a whole from July 1 to September 1.
2. Removes from the annual standardized test score report the component that includes grade equivalency scores.
3. Provides for a general effective date.
· Stipulates that the State Board of Education must publish and distribute the annual reports for every school, school district and the State by September 1 of each year.
· Removes from the annual standardized test score report the component that includes grade equivalency scores.
