History

A.R.S. §20-464 allows payment to a covered health care provider only if the insured assigns it.  Current statute applies to disability insurers and this strike-everything amendment would broaden statute to include other insurers.

A strike-everything amendment will be offered in the Retirement and Government Operations Committee with the following provision:

Provisions

·          Authorizes payment for benefit to provider if the insured assigns, the contract between the insurer and provider does not prohibit and assignment is delivered to insurer.

·          Specifies payment may only be made to provider assigned.
