SB 1259 requires all health profession regulatory boards to waive licensure and certification fees for health care professionals during the time in which they are called to active military duty.

 

History

Individuals in the military reserves can be called upon to active service at any moment. Currently, if a health care professional is called upon to serve on active status they are not exempt from paying their respective licensure or certification fees.

 

Provisions

 

·          Requires all health professional regulatory board to waive licensure or certification fees for healthcare professionals during the period of time in which they are called upon by their respective military reserve unit to serve in active military status.
