SB 1099 passes Health Committee unamended.
According to the Board, an increased number of complaints and investigations have required more time of the Board members. Meetings, which were normally 2 hours, have increased to 3 and 4 hours. The Board members currently receive $30 per meeting. Per year, the board pays $1,800 in compensation to its members. SB 1099 increases member compensation of the Board per meeting to $100 and the total compensation paid by the Board per year to $6,000. The funds required for this increase will be derived from the occupational therapy fund.
