SB 1055 provides regulations that allow condominium owners and members of homeowners associations to display the American flag outdoors.

 

Current Status

SB 1055 passed the Military, Veterans’ Affairs & Aviation Committee unamended.  SB 1055 was put on the consent calendar 4/17/02. 

 

Provisions

·          Allows condominium owners and members of homeowners associations the right to display the American flag outdoors if the flag is displayed in a manner consistent with the federal flag code.

·          Requires condominium and homeowners associations to adopt reasonable rules and regulations regarding the placement and manner of display of the American flag.

·          Allows the condominium and homeowners association’s rules to regulate the location and size of flagpoles, but may not prohibit the installation of a flagpole.
