SB 1026 Transfers the Motorcycle Safety program from ADOT to GOHS.  Creates the State Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council, consisting of five Governor appointees.

 

History

Arizona Revised Statutes § 28-2010 establishes the MSF.  A one-dollar fee from the nine-dollar Arizona motorcycle registration funds the MSF.  Monies in the fund were subject to legislative appropriation but the current law does not contain an appropriation.

 
Provisions

·          Transfers the Motorcycle Safety program from ADOT to GOHS.

·          Creates the State Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council, consisting of five Governor appointees.  The Council will meet quarterly to advise the GOSH on the expenditure of monies from the MSF.
