HB 2485 revises the definition of full-time instructional program with regard to school finance.

Current statute defines full-time instructional program as at least four subjects, each of which, if taught each school day for the minimum number of days required in a school year, through FY 2000-01, would meet a minimum of 120 hours a year, or the equivalent, or one or more subjects taught in amounts of time totaling at least 20 hours per week prorated for any week with fewer than five school days. In FY 2001-02 and 2002-03, each subject shall meet at least 122 hours. In FY 2003-04 and each fiscal year thereafter, each subject shall meet at least 123 hours.
For grades nine, ten and eleven, the total program shall meet at least:
· 880 hours in FY 2001-02.
· 885 hours in FY 2002-03.
· 890 hours in FY 2003-04.
· 895 hours in FY 2004-05.
· 900 hours in FY 2005-06.
