HB 2468 requires the domestic relations reform study subcommittee (DRRSS) to prepare a plan for an integrated family court.              

 

History

The child support enforcement and domestic relations reform committee consists of a child support coordinating council subcommittee and the domestic relations reform study subcommittee.  DRRSS consists of 25 members representing various interests within the community.  DRRSS recommends changes to domestic relations statues, rules and procedures.  Additionally, the subcommittee is required to report to the child support enforcement and domestic relations reform committee quarterly.  HB 2468 requires DRRSS to prepare a statewide plan for an integrated family court and submit it for legislative review.

 

Provisions

·          Requires DRRSS to prepare a statewide plan for an integrated statewide plan with comprehensive subject matter jurisdiction over matters involving the family by October 1, 2002.

·          Specifies the plan will be submitted for legislative review.

·          Makes technical and conforming changes.
