HB 2373 allows public funds to be expended to pay all or any part of the insurance premiums for former Maricopa and Pima county employees who are retired and receiving income from a retirement program of the State of Arizona and their dependents.

History

A county board of supervisors may currently enter into agreements to establish group health and accident coverage for former county employees who are retired and receiving income from a retirement program of the State of Arizona and their dependents. The agreements may allow that all or any portion of the former employees or their dependents may be grouped with officers and employees of the county or their dependents as necessary to obtain health and accident coverage at favorable rates.  Currently, public funds shall not be expended to pay for all or any part of the insurance premiums for these former county employees or their dependents.

Provisions
