HB 2371 prohibits corporations or associations from making contributions for the purpose of influencing an election on an initiative, a referendum, an amendment to the constitution or a political committee, if the corporation or the association receives public monies.

Provisions

· Prohibits corporations, a limited liability company or an unincorporated association from making any contribution of money or anything of value for the purpose of influencing an election on an initiative, a referendum or amendment to the constitution, if that corporation, limited liability company or unincorporated association receives public monies.

· Stipulates that it is unlawful for a corporation or a separate segregated fund of a corporation, which includes a trade organization or other corporation without stock, to contribute monies to a political committee if that corporation or separate segregated fund of that corporation receives any public monies.

· Makes a conforming change.
