HB 2329 eliminates filing fees in adoption cases.

 
Current Status

HB 2329 passed the Judiciary Committee unamended.  A rules amendment was adopted in the Committee of the Whole.

 

History

Under current Arizona law, a $30.00 filing fee must be paid to the clerk of the court in adoption proceedings.  In addition, any person contesting an adoption must pay a $15.00 fee.

 

Provisions

·          Eliminates the $30.00 fee for filing an adoption case.

·          Eliminates the $15.00 fee for contesting an adoption.

·          Makes technical changes.

 

A Rules Committee amendment was adopted by the Committee of the Whole.
