HB 2063 changes the annual due date of the Department of Water Resources’ report from July 1 to October 1.
HB 2063 passed the Natural Resources and Agriculture Committee unamended. On 2/6/02, it was put on the consent calendar. The last day to protest is 2/11/02. Barring no protest, it will be third read.
The Department of Water Resources controls and supervises Arizona’s surface water, ground water, reservoirs and dams. Each year the Director of the Department is required to submit a report to the Governor and the Legislature. The report must include information on the Department’s operations and offer suggestions on their improvement.
