Creates an opportunity for the Director of the Department of Agriculture to sell items labeled with the “Arizona Grown” trademark and deposit revenues received into the Commodity Promotion Fund. Contains an emergency clause and becomes effective upon the signature of the Governor.
The Arizona Department of Agriculture was established to provide a uniform and coordinated agricultural program and policy in Arizona. The Commodity Development and Promotion (CD&P) office was created to help reach the Arizona Department of Agriculture’s goals. Through marketing, CD&P supports the production of Arizona’s agricultural products in domestic and international sales.
The “Arizona Grown” logo was created for promotional reasons to be printed on various items and products. Currently, the Department is not authorized to sell these items and products.
