Purpose
Appopriates
$10 million in FY 2001-2002 from the state general fund to the State Board of
Education for the capital costs of the Ganado School District Comprehensive
Education Center.
In
2000, the Legislature appropriated $50,000 to the Ganado School District for
the planning of the Ganado School District Comprehensive Education Center (Laws
2000, Chapter 380). S.B. 1339
appropriates $10 million for capital costs associated with building the
facility. A physical fitness center, a day-care and a Fine Arts auditorium are
included in the project.
Plans for the Ganado School
District Comprehensive Education Center include programs offered in education,
health, and counseling with coursework from GED through master’s degree levels.
The anticipated enrollment is 3,060 students, with educational partners being
Ganado Unified School District #20, Northland Pioneer College, Dine College,
Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University.
S.B. 1339 appropriates
$10,000,000 in FY 2001-2002 from the state general fund to the State Board of
Education to build the Ganado School District Comprehensive Education Center.
1. Appropriates $10,000,000 in FY 2001-2002 from the state general fund to the State Board of Education for the capital costs of building the Ganado School District Comprehensive Education Center. Exempts the appropriation from lapsing.
2. Provides for a general effective date.
