venture teams; repeal
Purpose
Repeals the venture teams of
the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC), the Arizona Department of Economic
Security (DES) and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
Background
Laws 1990, Chapter 344 (H.B.
2471) required ADC, DES and ADOT to establish one or more venture teams
required to select work areas for review and consultation with senior
management from each department. The
directors of these departments are required to dedicate at least four
department employees to provide staff support for the venture teams. In addition, venture teams must periodically
submit reports of their findings and recommendations to the agency director and
to the Governor and Legislature.
The fiscal impact of this
legislation is unknown.
Provisions
1. Repeals the venture teams of ADC, DES and ADOT.
2. Provides for a general effective date.
