SB 1508 appropriates $500,000 from the state general fund and 7 full time equivalent positions in fiscal year 2001-2002 and $1.5 million and 15.9 full time equivalent positions in fiscal year 2002-2003 to the University of Arizona for expanding the south campus access to learner programs.

 

History

The appropriation will be used at the learner center programs at Douglas and Sierra Vista in Cochise County for the following purposes:

1.      Fund faculty and support personnel who will guide Associate Degree nurses through their baccalaureate and masters courses.

2.      Provide technology to support students and faculty, and allow the travel required to adequately train and mentor students at learner mentor programs.

3.      Expand current programs and expand opportunities through the opening of the Academic Technology Building.

 

Provisions

·                      Appropriates $500,000 from the state general fund and 7 full time equivalent positions in fiscal year 2001-2002 and $1.5 million and 15.9 full time equivalent positions in fiscal year 2002-2003 to the University of Arizona for expanding the south campus access to learner programs.
