SB 1328 makes an appropriation to the Office of Tourism for the purpose of establishing a Native American cultural and tourism center.

Provisions

·                      Appropriates $250,000 from the state general fund in each of fiscal years 2001-02 and 2002-03 to the Office of Tourism.

·                      Provides that the appropriated monies shall be used for renovating the former phoenix Indian school in order to establish a Native American cultural and tourism center.

·                      Specifies that the Office of Tourism may not use more than ten per cent of the appropriated monies for administrative costs.

·                      Exempts the appropriations from lapsing until June 30, 2005.

 

SB 1328 passed the Native American Affairs Committee unamended.
