As Passed the House

SB 1315 requires that health professional regulatory boards conduct roll call votes and maintain a record of each member’s vote.

History

Current statute does not stipulate how health profession regulatory boards conduct votes and how those votes are recorded.

Provisions

·                      Requires all health profession regulatory boards to record a roll call vote if a disciplinary action requires a vote.

SB 1315 was amended in the Health Committee as follows:

·          Exempts unanimous votes from being recorded in the roll call format.

·          Adds language to 32-3287 to allow the Board of Behavioral Examiners Board to keep a license active until a pending investigation is complete. As it stands, license behavioral health processionals can avoid disciplinary sanctions from pending investigations by failing to renew their license.
