SB 1307 requires the Auditor General to conduct an audit of the Division of Assurance and Licensure within the Department of Health Services regarding the Division’s regulation of nursing care institutions.

 

History

The Division of Assurance and Licensure Services (Division) within the Department of Health Services establishes standards, provides information, and licenses and regulates health and child care services in an effort to protect the health and safety of Arizona citizens.  Nursing care institutions are included in the Division’s realm of facility regulation.  SB 1307 requires the Auditor General to perform an audit to determine the effectiveness of the Division’s regulation of nursing care institutions.

 

Provisions

·                      Requires the Auditor General to conduct an audit of the Division of Assurance and Licensure in the Department of Health Services to determine the Division’s effectiveness of regulating nursing care institutions by December 30, 2002.
