SB 1251 deposits percentages of the flight property tax into the aviation fund.

 

History

Laws 1997, chapter 3, section 5 established the amount of the revenues from the flight property tax the State Treasurer was required to deposit and was amended by Laws 1999, first special session, chapter 3, section 9.

The proposed strike-everything amendment to SB 1251 provides for the following:

Provisions

·                      Prohibits any one airport from receiving more than ten per cent of the total aviation fund in any FY.

·                      Requires the State Treasurer to deposit 50 per cent of the revenues from the flight property tax into the aviation fund, until June 30, 2003, after which time 100 per cent of the revenues will go to the aviation fund.

 

The Military, Veteran Affairs and Aviation Committee adopted a strike-everything amendment.
