SB1114 appropriates $250,000 from the state general fund in FY 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 to the State Fire Marshal (OFM) for the construction of a burn facility at Central Arizona College. 

History

The OFM establishes a regularly scheduled fire safety inspection program for state-owned and county-owned buildings, public and private schools and other occupancies, as well as the review of plans and specifications for construction or remodeling.  Training for firefighters is provided and other agencies are assisted in enforcing Fire and Life Safety codes.

Provisions

·              Appropriates $250,000 from the state general fund in each of FY 2001-2001 and 2002-2003 to OFM for distribution to Pinal County for a burn facility to be constructed and located at the Central Arizona College.

·              Exempts the appropriation from lapsing except for monies that remain unexpended and unencumbered on June 30, 2005.
