early ballot requests; due
date
SB 1019 requires candidates and political committees to clearly mark the early ballot request forms that the candidates and political committees send to voters with the last date and time the early ballot request form may be received by the county recorder.
Candidates or political committees may distribute early ballot request forms to voters. These forms may include a printed address for return to the candidate or political committee that paid for the printing and distribution of the request forms. Candidates or political committees that receive early ballot requests back from voters must transmit these requests as soon as practicable to the political subdivision that is conducting the election. The last date for the early ballot request to be received by the county recorder or other officer in charge of elections is no later than 5:00 p.m. on the eleventh day before the election.
