HCR 2004 repeals legislative term limits.

 

History

 

Current law stipulates that a state legislator, beginning with the January 1, 1993 term of office, may not serve more than four consecutive terms in office, and upon serving the final term may not serve again in that same office until the legislator has been out of office for at least one full term.

 

Provisions

 

·        Repeals legislative term limits.

·        Requires the Secretary of State to submit this proposition to the voters as provided by the Arizona Constitution, article XXI, Section 1.

 

 

HCR 2004 passed the Retirement and Government Operations Committee unamended.
