HB 2629 appropriates $50 million in FY 2001-2002 and $100 million in FY 2002-2003 from the state general fund to the Department of Health Services (DHS), Behavioral Health Division, for the purposes of enhancing the quantity and quality of behavioral health services provided by DHS to individuals in the state’s care who are diagnosed with serious mental illness. These monies are in addition to any other monies appropriated to DHS during the 45th Legislature, First Regular Session or any concurrent special session for the purposes of funding the general maintenance and operations budget of the Department and the Division.

 

HB 2629 passed the Appropriations Committee unamended.
