HB 2604 amends current law regarding military airports.

The proposed strike-everything amendment to HB 2604 provides for the following:

Provisions

· Appropriates $4.8 million from the state general fund in FYs 2001-02 and 2002-03 to the economic strength project fund.

· Mandates that the appropriation be divided evenly between Luke Air Force Base and Williams Gateway airport.

· Stipulates that the appropriation does not lapse until the projects are completed or a full fiscal year passes without an expenditure or encumbrance
