Provisions

·                      Appropriates the amount of $500,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2001-02 to the Office of Tourism in order to establish a Native American Cultural and Tourism Center in the former Phoenix Indian School.

·                      Allows the Office of Tourism to use up to ten per cent of the appropriated monies for administrative costs.

·                      Exempts the appropriation from lapsing.

 

HB 2551 passed the Native American Affairs Committee unamended.
