HB 2462 makes an appropriation to the Department of Economic Security for Navajo capital projects at Kayenta.

Provisions

· Appropriates $2,796,763 from the state general fund in FY 2001-02 to the Department of Economic Security for the following:

· A Kayenta chapter headstart building

· An access road, dike relocation, and wash crossing in the Kayenta Unified School District

· A Kayenta senior citizens center

· Exempts the appropriation from lapsing.

HB 2462 passed the Native American Affairs Committee unamended.
