HB 2452 appropriates $2,400,000 from the state general fund to the Department of Education for Jobs for Arizona Graduates.

 

History

Laws 2000, chapter 337 (HB 2405) established an AIMS intervention and dropout prevention program.  The Education Department developed application procedures, selection criteria and minimum performance standards for service providers that wished to participate in the program.  The Department of Education contracted with Jobs for Arizona Graduates to implement this act.  The Department of Education provided $50,000 to this program.  The dropout prevention program is offered in the public schools in this state.

 

Provisions

·        Appropriates $2,400,000 from the state general fund to the Department of Education for the Jobs for Arizona Graduates.

 

A same subject strike-everything amendment will be offered

 

·        The strike-everything amendment states that the appropriation will be available for the AIMS intervention and dropout prevention program established by Laws 2000, chapter 337.
