History

The Arizona State Boxing Commission (Commission) was established in 1982 to provide both physical and financial protection to participants and persons interested in the sport of boxing, by regulating professional boxing and kick-boxing contests. The Commission accomplishes its regulatory responsibilities by performing such functions as licensing all boxers, promoters, referees, judges and others involved in the sport.  The Board consists of three governor-appointed members who serve staggered three-year terms.

HB 2450 passed the Public Institutions & Rural Affairs Committee unamended.
