HB 2419 amends election laws regarding informational
pamphlets that are mailed to voters pertaining to bond propositions in
counties, cities, and towns.
Provisions
·Reduces the time allowed to submit arguments for or
against initiatives and referendums in counties, towns and cities by 30 days.
·Requires the governing body or board of a political
subdivision to include arguments for and against the authorization of bond
propositions in informational pamphlets
·Requires that pamphlets be mailed out in time to
accommodate early voting.Stipulates
that if the pamphlets are not mailed out before the earliest date for receipt of a requested early
ballot, notice shall be provided of when the pamphlets shall be mailed and
where and when pamphlets may be accessed or viewed.
