Overview

Current law allows state agencies to accept credit cards or charge cards for the payment of any amount due the agency or the state. HB 2337 includes definitions relating to state agencies and the credit card or charge card transactions.

· Provides definitions relating to credit cards or and state agencies that accept credit cards for payments due the agency or the state. Specifically:

· Discount or convenience fee

· Third party processor

· Transaction fee

HB 2337 passed the committee on Energy Utilities and Technology unamended.
