HB 2335 deals with the public safety personnel retirement system.

The Military, Veteran Affairs and Aviation Committee adopted a strike-everything amendment to HB 2335 with the following provisions:

· Appropriates $371,000 from the state general fund in FY 2001-02 to the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA) for the Arizona Army National Guard Training and Community Center in Yuma.

· Exempts the appropriation from lapsing.

The Appropriations Committee adopted a strike-everything amendment to HB 2335 with the following provisions:

· Appropriates $371,000 from the state general fund in FY 2001-02 to the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA) for the Arizona Army National Guard Training and Community Center in Yuma. [Same as the MVAA S/E.]

· Appropriate $755,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2001-2002 to DEMA to match federal grant monies for the capital construction and renovation of the Papago Aviation Armory complex in Phoenix.

· Exempts the appropriations from lapsing.
