HB 2307 amends statute 41-541, which deals primarily with the members, term, compensation, officers meetings and duties of the Commission of Indian affairs.

 

Provisions

·                      Allows an appointed member of the commission to designate a representative to attend meetings and vote.

·                      Enables the commission to accept and spend fees collected at the Arizona Indian town hall to defer expenses for the Arizona Indian town hall that exceed the amount appropriated to them.

 

HB 2307 was verbally amended in the Native American Affairs committee as follows:

·        Strikes the new language on lines 34 and 35

 

The Native American Affairs Committee amendment was adopted in the Committee of the Whole.
