Arizona’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (Kidscare) was enacted in 1998. AHCCCS determines the eligibility requirements (A.R.S. 36-2981) program and enrolls the applicable members with contracted health care plans. Enrollment includes completing and mailing the Kidscare application form.  Currently, no other entity has been designated to enroll children into the Kidscare program.

 

Provisions

·                      Authorizes school districts to conduct outreach and information activities relating to Kidscare.

·                      Allows the Kidscare Administration to enroll students in the program at each school.
