HB2075 repeals current law establishing the Joint Legislative Military Airport Reuse Committee.

 

Provisions

·                      States that the Joint Powers Airport Authority will no longer have to submit a written report to the Joint Legislative Military Airport Reuse Committee.

·                      Repeals section 28-8528, which dealt with the establishment and restrictions of the Joint Legislative Military Airport Reuse Committee.

·                      Stipulates that the Department of Commerce does not have to submit an annual written report to the Joint Legislative Military Airport Committee.

·                      Removes the delayed repeal of the Joint Legislative Military Airport Reuse Committee.

·                      Allows only military facilities that were closed after 1990 to establish a Joint Powers Airport Authority.

·                      Designates military reuse zone as closed military facilities with a runway of at least 8,000 feet.
