HB 2070 requires the director of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to submit the Department’s annual report on groundwater and soils sampling in summary form with an analysis. The bill also requires the Department to publish the information on its web site, in an electronic media format and be available in each office of the Department.

 

History

Laws 1986, Chapter 368, required that the director of ADEQ submit an annual report by June 30 of each year to various elected officials and state agencies regarding groundwater and soils sampling studies. HB 2070 requires that the information contained in the study be presented in various forms and methods.

Provisions:

·         Requires the director of ADEQ to submit the Department’s annual report on groundwater and soils sampling in summary form with an analysis.

·         Stipulates that the Department shall publish the information on its web site, in an electronic media format and make the information available in each office of the Department.

HB 2070 passed the Public Institutions & Rural Affairs Committee unamended.
