HB 2059 decreases the alcohol concentration level from .10 to .08 while operating a vehicle or watercraft.

History

In Arizona Statute, it is unlawful for a person to operate a vehicle motorized watercraft if the person has an alcohol concentration [grams of alcohol per one hundred milliliters of blood] of .10 or more within two hours of operating or being in control of the vehicle or watercraft.  HB 2059 lowers the alcohol concentration level from .10 to .08 in statutes pertaining to the operation of a vehicle as well as a motorboat.  In addition, HB 2059 substitutes .08 for .10 in related statutes regarding licensure and suspensions.
