Laws, 2000, Chapter 132, permits a retired member who has achieved normal retirement eligibility to return to work and remain eligible to receive retirement benefits, if they return to work as a certified teacher and as long as they have not worked for at least 12 months. Additionally, each retired member who returns to work as a certified teacher does not accrue years of credited service, retirement benefits or LTD benefits during the return to work period. This section of law is repealed July 1, 2003.
