HB 2043 requires that internet web sites established by the state must include a privacy statement and notice as to how information gathered by the site will be collected and used.

 

 

Provisions

·                      Provides that any web site offered by the state must contain a privacy statement that describes the information gathering and dissemination practices of the state.

 

·                      Establishes the minimum amount of information that must be provided on the web site as follows:

 

1.      The services provided by the site.

2.      Information regarding how transactions are processed by the web site.

3.      Whom will have access to the information provided by the taxpayer.

4.      Security measures provided by the site.
