House Bill 2031 contains technical changes relating to train dispatchers.

 

The Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee adopted a strike-everything amendment.  The strike-everything amendment:

 

The strike-everything amendment to House Bill 2031 broadens the definition of “utility user fees” to include fees charged for providing water.

 

Provisions

·        Specifies that delinquent fees must exceed five hundred dollars before a lien can be filed on a property.

·        States that before the lien is recorded a thirty-day notice and an opportunity for a hearing be provided.

·        Broadens the definition of “utility user fees” to include fees charged for providing water.

 

The strike-everything was amended in the Energy, Utilities and Technology as follows:

·        Increases the delinquent amounted required before a lien can be filed from five hundred to one thousand dollars.
