HB 2028 makes technical and conforming changes relating to bucket shops.

 

The proposed strike everything amendment to HB 2028 contains the following provisions

 

Provisions

·                      Establishes a joint legislative study committee relating to senior citizen programs consisting of the following members:

·                      Three members appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives

·                      Three members appointed by the President of the Senate.

·                      Two members representing non-profit organizations that are experts in senior citizen programs appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives

·                      One member specializing in county programs relating to senior citizens by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

·                      One member specializing in state programs relating to senior citizens appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

·                      One member specializing in city programs relating to senior citizens by the President of the Senate.

·                      Three members representing the electric, gas and telecommunications industries     respectively, appointed by the President of the Senate.

·                      One member representing the senior community appointed by the Governor.

 

·                      States that the joint committee must accomplish the following:

·                      Compile data on state, county, city and other programs for senior citizens

·                      Review and evaluate the programs.

·                      Submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the Governor, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the State of Arizona Library Archives and Public Records by December 15, 2001.

 

·                      Repeals the joint committee on December 31, 2001.
