SENATE AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2259

Strike everything after the enacting clause and
insert:
“Section 1. Title 41, chapter 11, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-1685, to read:
41-1685. Private prison construction; director's review; approval
From and after June 30,
2002, a private prison shall not be constructed in this state unless the
proposal to construct the prison has been reviewed by the director and approved
by the joint committee on capital review.”
