AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY FOR NAVAJO CAPITAL PROJECTS AT KAYENTA.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; purpose; exemption
A. The sum of $2,796,763 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2001-2002 to the department of economic security for distribution to the Navajo Nation for the following capital projects:
1. Kayenta chapter headstart building-$1,343,321.
2. Kayenta unified school district number 27 access road, dike relocation and wash crossing-$928,642.
3. Kayenta chapter senior citizens center-$524,800.
B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
