AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY NEAR KAYENTA.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; purpose; exemption
A. The sum of $400,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2001-2002 to the department of transportation for distribution to the Navajo Nation for an additional pedestrian dedicated walkway across Laguna Wash Bridge on state highway 163 near Kayenta for the safety of students and other pedestrian traffic.
B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
