AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS FOR A HIGHER EDUCATION CONSORTIUM.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; purpose; exemption
A. The sum of $6,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2001-2002 to the Arizona board of regents for a joint venture among the university of Arizona, Arizona western college and northern Arizona university to build a higher education and science complex in the Yuma area to aid all three higher education programs.
B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
