SB 1305 continues the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) until July 1, 2010.

History

MVD is one of the four operating divisions within the Arizona Department of Transportation. MVD is responsible for registering vehicles, licensing drivers, enforcing motor vehicle statutes, collecting revenues, regulating motor carriers, and other related duties. MVD operates 67 field offices and 22 ports of entry. MVD has an annual operating budget of approximately $72 million and employs about 1600 persons.
