As Passed the House

 

The bill appropriates an $500,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2000-01 to the Legislative Council for the purpose of conducting a comprehensive information study and evaluation relating to the elk population and their habitat impacts.  The study will be done by a contract with one of the state universities.  The appropriation is exempt from lapsing and shall be known as the Elk Census Act.

 

The bill passed the Natural Resources Committee without any amendments.

 

HB 2498 was amended by the Appropriations Committee as follows:

§         Placed $500,000  in the blank appropriation.

 

HB 2498 was amended in Committee of the Whole as follows:

§         This act shall be known as the  “Elk Census Act”.
