HB 2497 makes an appropriation to assist counties in maintaining, expanding and operating juvenile detention centers.

 

History

ARS §41-2417 established the state aid to detention fund for the purposes of providing state assistance to counties in maintaining, expanding and operating juvenile detention centers. 

 

Provisions

·                      Appropriates $2,100,000 from the corrections fund in fiscal year 1999-2000 to the administrative office of the courts for deposit in the state aid to detention fund for providing state assistance to counties in maintaining, expanding and operating juvenile detention centers.

·                      Transfers $2,000,000 from the Arizona state prison complex at Douglas wastewater treatment project appropriation to the state aid to detention fund.

·                      Provides an emergency measure.
